I collected a series of objects while killing time during field recording sessions in South Africa. Later, I manipulated those objects in front of microphones and caused them to make their own sound. I recorded each object to its own unmarked cassette tape (a play on Pierre Schaeffer’s concept of “sound objects”) and invite the visitor to listen to any cassette they wish.
